During this webinar, our Hearpeers Volunteer Mentor, Ruth, will share insights into both processors and what influenced her decision to choose one over the other. Ruth was born deaf, with profound sensorineural hearing loss, and received her first cochlear implant shortly after birth. Later, in 2020, at the age of 23, she was implanted with a second cochlear implant.
Having used both the SONNET 2 on-the-ear audio processor and the RONDO 3 off-the-ear audio processor, Ruth’s decision when offered an upgrade, led her to explore the unique features of the RONDO 3. As someone with experience using both devices, a bilateral implant user for most of her life, a working mom, and a musician, Ruth is perfectly poised to share her perspective on the advantages and features of each processor. She will explain what drove her decision to opt for the RONDO 3.
