Ever lose your audio processor? AudioKey 3 can help you find your RONDO 3 or SONNET series audio processor again! Just click on “Find My Processor” to see where you last used AudioKey 3 with your audio processor. Retracing your steps—or your child’s—to relocate your audio processor is easy with AudioKey 3!
Enjoy Peace of Mind
You can easily keep track of your child or loved one’s hearing with AudioKey 3’s “Guardian Role” feature. It allows you to adjust their RONDO 3 or SONNET series audio processor settings and view their hearing statistics from your smartphone. Extended Statistics
Which programme do you use most often? Is more time spent in speech or speech in noise? How long is your audio processor disconnected from your implant? AudioKey 3’s “My Stats” function gives RONDO 3 and SONNET series users answers to these questions and more. Extended info on wearing time, programme, and connectivity usage as well as different sound environments can help you and your audiologist optimise your audio processor fitting for the future.

Hardware and Software Requirements
The usage of AudioKey 3 is limited to devices fulfilling the following hardware and software requirements:
- Smartphone with one of the following mobile operating systems:
- Android
- Android 14
- Android 13
- Android 12
- Android 11
- Android 10
- Android 9
- Android 8
- iOS
- iOS 17
- iOS 16
- iOS 15
- iOS 14
- A minimum of 200 MB free storage space
- Internet connection
Additional prerequisite for direct connection using Bluetooth® Low Energy
- Smartphone supporting Bluetooth 4.2 or later
Additional prerequisite for configuring a MED-EL streaming device
- Smartphone with one of the following mobile operating systems:
- Android 10 or later, supporting Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids (ASHA)
- iOS 14 or later
To avoid a possible loss of personal data, please ensure the following:
- Ensure that the smartphone is secure. If the smartphone is not yet encrypted, enable encryption, and use a strong password or biometric identification to lock the screen. See the smartphone’s instructions for use for guidance.
- Ensure that the smartphone uses an operating system supported by the vendor to receive security updates.
CAUTION
Ensure that the mobile operating system is only modified in accordance with the device manufacturer (e.g., updates provided by the manufacturer) and not otherwise modified (e.g., hacked, jailbroken, rooted).

AudioKey 3 supports the following MED-EL audio processors:

* This audio processor type does not use Bluetooth Low Energy and therefore requires an AudioLink device to connect to the app. You can check the SONNET 2 variant you have here.
NOTE: Audiologists have to unlock the audio processors for AudioKey 3 before they can be used with the app. Inform your audiologist if you would like to use AudioKey 3 and your audio processors are not yet unlocked.
In addition to the supported audio processors, the following MED-EL external hardware products can be used in conjunction with AudioKey 3:

- AudioStream Adapter
AudioKey 3 can be used in conjunction with the following MED-EL remote control:
- FineTuner Echo
Be aware that although you can pair AudioKey 3 and the FineTuner Echo to the same audio processor, we recommend using only one remote control at a time. You cannot use AudioKey 3 with the FineTuner to remotely control an audio processor.
Everyday Use
The prerequisites for successful everyday use of AudioKey 3 are:
- A smartphone with AudioKey 3 installed
- A valid myMED-EL account
- Bluetooth enabled on the smartphone
- Audio processor turned on and within range
- An established link between the app and the audio processor
Internet Connection
The app requires an internet connection for the following functionalities:
- Download and installation
- User registration
- Login
- Pairing audio processors to the app
- Find My Processor
- My Stats
- Guardian roles
- Feedback
- User profile change
- Updates
AudioKey 3 can use Wi-Fi, mobile (cellular) connections, or data connections via tethering. Follow the device manufacturer’s instructions to set up an internet connection on the smartphone.
Care and Maintenance
Updating the App
Always keep AudioKey 3 up to date and use the latest version. Your device will notify you automatically when a new version of AudioKey 3 is available.
Uninstalling the App
You can uninstall AudioKey 3 like any other app. Please follow the device manufacturer’s instructions on how to remove apps.
Troubleshooting
AudioKey 3 contains several error and information messages which can be encountered at various points when using the app. The messages are clear and self-explanatory so you can carry out the necessary actions.
