Aural Rehabilitation- What is it, why do I need it and how do I do it?

If you are a recipient with a MED-EL device (new or seasoned), we invite you to enhance your hearing healthcare journey by joining us to learn about aural rehabilitation. We will discuss its importance and how to go about it, either with a partner or on your own. Specifically, you will be able to describe a model of aural rehabilitation accepted by the greater scientific community, define and receive training examples meant to increase perception skills as well as conversation confidence and fluency. We will also share video examples, demonstrate for you where to find MED-EL’s free resources as well as provide access to a special MED-EL corporate partnership only available to Hear Peer Members.

- 5-10 min: Welcome and introduction of aural rehabilitation model
- 10-15 min: The importance of listening practice
- 15-60 min: How to go about doing rehabilitation
- 60-75 min: MED-EL’s resources, partnerships questions and discussion
