How Does ADHEAR Work?
ADHEAR is designed for people with conductive hearing loss—meaning the outer or middle ear is damaged. It gently vibrates the bone behind your ear, sending sound directly to your inner ear to provide natural sound quality.
ADHEAR can also be used as a solution for single-sided deafness by sending sound from the non-hearing side around to your “good side.”
The ADHEAR system consists of an adhesive adapter that sticks to the skin behind your ear and an audio processor that clicks onto the adapter. The processor’s microphones pick up the sounds around you and then vibrate the adapter to send sounds directly to your inner ear.
