FineTuner
This guide is designed to help you use, and care for, your FineTuner Remote Control.
FineTuner Functions
Except for the on/off switch, all other settings for your audio processor can be controlled with the FineTuner remote control.
To synchronise your processor with your FineTuner, first turn off your processor. Then place the coil of your processor (SONNET and OPUS 2) or the processor itself (RONDO 2 and RONDO) on the keypad. Turn on your processor. It should now be synchronised with your FineTuner.
To turn up the volume with the FineTuner, press the Volume + key. To turn the volume down, press the Volume – Key.
To increase the sensitivity of your audio processor’s microphone(s), press the upper Sensitivity key. This will increase the range of the microphone(s), but may also increase levels of background noise. To decrease the sensitivity of your audio processor’s microphone(s), press the lower Sensitivity key.
The Default key sets volume and sensitivity back to predefined values set by your audiologist. Pressing default will not change your program.
To select a program, press one of the four keys marked with white dots.
To turn on your telecoil function for connecting to assistive listening devices, press the T key. This provides sound input only through the telecoil and blocks sound input from the microphone(s). To select a combination of telecoil and microphone input, press the MT key. To return to microphone-only input, press the M key quickly (do not press and hold). Your processor automatically returns to microphone-only input when the processor is turned off and back on.
For bilateral recipients, the left arrow selects only the left processor for control. The right arrow selects only the right processor. The double arrow selects both processors for control.
If you press any key and see the red indicator light on your FineTuner flashing 3 times, the battery of your FineTuner needs to be replaced.
Your audiologist can selectively disable any of the functions on the FineTuner Remote Control.
